MSU-IIT is among the top universities in Google Scholar profiles

From all the top-ranked universities around the world, eight (8) Philippine universities made it in the Webometrics Ranking of the World Universities and Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) ranked seven in the Philippine list. According to the 2020 TRANSPARENT RANKING: Top Universities by Citations in Top Google Scholar profiles, the University of the Philippines (ranked 997 in the world) garnered the most citations among the universities in the country while MSU-IIT was the only university in Mindanao that made it to the list.

In 2019, fourteen (14) colleges and universities in the country were included in the list of rankings, of which University of the Philippines (with 62,820 citations) ranked first.

2020 Top Philippine Schools by Citations in Top Google Scholar

Below are the eight (8) Top Universities in the Philippines on the Google Scholar Profiles ranked by citations:

1. University of the Philippines- 113,743
2. De La Salle University Manila- 51,390
3. University of the Philippines Diliman- 41,826
4. Ateneo de Manila University- 16,912
5. University of Santo Tomas- 7,776
6. Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology- 6,729
7. University of San Carlos- 1,610
8. Mapua Institute of Technology- 1,107

Harvard University topped in the world ranking with 8,361,676 citations, followed by Stanford University came after with 8,150,705 citations while University of California Berkeley earned the third highest spot with 6,515,961.

The Webometrics ranking reveals the 2020 top Philippine schools by citations in top Google Scholar profiles, which provide a simple way for authors to keep track of citations in their articles.
